Jamie Foxx all set to play Mike Tyson in a limited series

Jamie Foxx is all ready to play Mike Tyson in a limited series named "Tyson" while Martin Scorsese will be the executive producer of the series.

Jamie Foxx will be essaying the pivotal role of American boxer Mike Tyson in this upcoming biographical limited "Tyson" series. Written by Colin Preston, this will tell Tyson's incredible life story and how he made boxing history at just 20 years old. According to Variety, 'Tyson' will be directed by Antoine Fuqua, who also helmed the documentary 'What's My Name: Muhammad Ali'.

Tyson in a media statement talked about the project saying, "I have been looking to tell my story for quite some time. With the recent launch of Legends Only League and the excitement from fans following my return to the ring, now feels like the perfect moment. I look forward to collaborating with Martin, Antoine, Jamie, and the entire creative team to bring audiences a series that not only captures my professional and personal journey but also inspires and entertains."

The series so far is not currently attached to a network or any streaming service. Also, Tyson and his wife Kiki will executive produce with Martin Scorsese. This whole idea was originally planned as a movie starring Foxx. Jamie is one actor who won an Oscar for playing Ray Charles in the 2004 film, "Ray."
