Four teams ready for the playoffs round in this year's IPL - with all of them being hotshots, qualifier and eliminator rounds will be interesting to watch
Fifty-six matches later, the four ‘fabs’ who will be playing the highly anticipated playoffs will be Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capital (DC), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SH), and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The playoffs – of which qualifier-1 will begin from Thursday.
Unlike the previous Indian Premier Leagues (IPL) were the best four were kind of predicted between the 45th to 50th matches, this season begs to stand differently. It was at the 56th match (on Tuesday) between SH and MI, where the former won a dominating 10-wicket win which led to them entering the playoffs, which kicking Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) out of the league. KKR at that time was in the 5th position at the IPL table.
Mumbai Indians were the first to take a position that was followed by RCB and DC. The first qualifier match will see MI and DC playing against each other at Dubai International Cricket Stadium – where both are considered to be strong contenders.
The eliminator round, that will be on the following day will see SH and RCB fighting their way out to victory. The loser of qualifier-1 will be playing against the loser of the eliminator round only to reach the second qualifier match! The winner of qualifier 1 and qualifier 2 will be playing the final match of IPL – 2020.
