With Instagram's latest update, users can now leave comments on Stories. Here's what you need to know about it along with a few other exciting updates Instagram has rolled out.
Instagram has been rolling out some exciting new features lately, and one of the notable ones includes the “Comment on Stories" feature. You’ve probably already seen it or even used it by now. This new update lets anyone leave a comment on your Instagram Stories, making it easier to interact with others. Before, the only way to respond to a story was by sending a private message or emoji reaction, but now it’s a mini public forum right under your Stories.

The first concern we all had coming across this feature was whether allowing anyone to leave comments on our stories would make us more vulnerable to bullying. While this opens up more ways to connect, there are some limitations to keeping things friendly. For instance, the feature allows for only your followers to see or leave comments on the Stories. This also includes the mutual followers taking away the worry of trolls popping up. These comments also disappear after 24 hours, just like Stories, unless you’ve saved the story as a highlight, in which case the comments stick around. Instagram also allows you to easily turn it off if you're not a big fan of the feature.
Apart from this addition, Instagram also introduced the option to add a song to your profile a little while ago. In terms of posts, one of the features has made it simpler for people to customize your posts allowing you to add text directly onto your pictures in the editor eliminating the need for an external app. The limit on carousels have also increased with user allowed to add up to 20 photos or videos in a single post. Along with that, Instagram has introduced fresh fonts, effects, and animations for both Reels and Stories, making creating and sharing more fun.
