Instagram accidentally or out of a bug, launched a swipe feed feature, that led to a storm with Twitterati showing nothing less than hatred towards the feature.
Though the platform was quick to apologize and resolve the bug that made the feed horizontal rather than it being vertical, which has been the norm ever since it's inception.
Due to a bug, some users saw a change to the way their feed appears today. We quickly fixed the issue and feed is back to normal. We apologize for any confusion.

The reaction Tinder-styled horizontal feed received from the takers, is a strong signal for Instagram that the audience is not ready for the horizontal shift

Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram, tweeted that this was a small test that went broad.
That was supposed to be a very small test that went broad by accident. Should be fixed now. If you're still seeing it simply restart the app. Happy holidays! ?
— Adam Mosseri (@mosseri) December 27, 2018
Boy, if a 15 mins update can garner so much hatred, what will happen the day this feature will be rolled out to the masses! Well this is not the first time that Twitterati were vocal about Instagram.
