Indian actors to be a part of International cinema in 2021

South Asian representation in International films has been an important discussion for many years. And with some incredible South Asian talent making waves, we have been able to see some really good movies and shows.

Indian actors have been cast in International projects whether it is in the American industry or the British film industry for many years but only recently we saw that they have been appreciated for their presence in cinema abroad. Right from Irrfan Khan in Life of Pi, Dimple Kapadia in Tenet and Radhika Apte in 'A call to spy' to Randeep Hooda in Extraction, these actors were highly praised by the critics for their commendable performances.

In 2021, we will get to see many such Indian actors making waves in International cinema. Some have already marked their presence abroad while some are ready to debut in the west. This year actors like Radhika Apte, Huma Qureshi, Rajkumar Rao, Shabana Azmi are going to star in some really exciting projects.

Radhika Apte - Shantaram

Radhika Apte has already acted in two international projects like The wedding guest and A call to spy. In 2021 we will see this talented actor in Apple Tv's Shantaram series with Charlie Hunnam.

Shabana Azmi - Halo

Halo is an upcoming live-action science fiction television series based on the Halo video game franchise. The actor has been a part of international projects like "Madame Sousatzka", "La Nuit Bengali", "City of Joy" and "Son of Pink Panther". She has also starred in TV shows like "Banglatown Banquet", "Capital" and "Next Of Kin". Well we are looking forward to seeing Shabana Azmi in this genre for the first time.

Adarsh Gourav - The White Tiger

Adarsh Gourav has earlier starred in projects like Mom and Hostel Daze n India. Now the actor is going to debut in the west with Ramin Bahrani's The White Tiger in 2021.

Rajkumar Rao - The White Tiger

Rajkumar Rao has been our favourite in Indian cinema for many years and we finally will see him making his debut in the International Netflix drama, 'The white tiger' this year.

Huma Qureshi - Army of the dead

Huma Qureshi has earlier starred in the British film 'Viceroy House' with Gurinder Chadda in 2017. Netflix zombie heist 'Army of the dead' is her American debut which will be a departure from the kind of films Huma Qureshi has been a part of.
