Prime Video's Hush Hush trailer is about four rich women who get entangled in a murder case after a night gone wrong, much like HBO's Big Little Lies

The Hush Hush trailer which marks Juhi Chawla’s comeback on-screen is set to release on September 22 on Prime Video!

Just like the Hush Hush trailer tells us, the rich really do live in a world of their own. The ‘behind the scenes’ of their lives is way more dramatic than ours. Hush Hush is a murder mystery surrounded around a group of rich women who constantly look anxious about their dark secrets surfacing at any time. There’s Ishi Sangamitra played by Juhi Chawla who has a lot of mystery to her. There’s an incident in her life that she's reluctant to share with anyone. Shahana Goswami plays Zaira, a self-made fashion designer. Soha Ali Khan plays Saiba, an ex-journalist whose life now revolves around her husband and her daughter. And last but not least in the girl gang, Kritika Kamra plays Dolly who seems to be in a suffocating relationship with her husband. 

One night, the four women wearing gorgeous lehengas do something not-so-pretty. Dolly is seen firing a gun at someone while the rest of them look as stressed as one can be. Who did they fire the gun at and why, is it in the hands of Geeta, a young cop played by Karishma Tanna? She wants to dig deeper into what happened that night with these women and firmly tells them “I hope your silences are not what I think it is”. The four women becoming a part of a murder on a fancy night feels too similar to the Emmy award-winning series Big Little Lies which also had the same plot. Big Little Lies tackled serious issues like domestic violence and the trailer of Hush Hush sort of also gives you the same vibe even though nothing of that sort is shown directly. But with a very powerful female star cast, only time will tell if Hush Hush is here to prove us wrong and has a different story to tell.

The series is helmed by Tanuja Chandra, Kopal Naithani, and Ashish Pandey. The story is written by Shikha Sharma and the dialogues are by National award-winning writer Juhi Chaturvedi who has previously written for films like Piku and Sardar Uddham Singh. The series is produced by Abundantia Entertainment and also has Ayesha Jhulka and Vibha Chibber as supporting characters in the story.
