Asia's oldest and respected film festival HKIFF- Hong Kong International Film Festival to be hosted in August 2020.
Movies are an experience we all want to be part of. Film festivals are one way of taking the celebrations around the world. It has been noticed that it is not just the movies made in one language or country but made in different languages can deliver and enhance the whole movie-making phenomenon. Film festivals are a great platform for such unrecognised gems to be displayed to the world. HKIFF i.e. Hong Kong International Film Festival is Asia's oldest most recognised film festival that is giving a face to many unnoticed pieces of art.
Hong Kong International Film Festival is the oldest film festivals of Asia which also holds importance in Hong Kong's cultural calendar. HIFF is a popular cultural affair that annually screens over 200 titles from more than 50 countries in approximately 10 major cultural venues across the territory of Hong Kong. The festival sticks to its core idea of taking the Asian, Chinese language movies to the world and bringing International movies to the local audiences.

The festival is the longest-running film festivals in the world. It is held every year in March and April. This year, however, it has been postponed. The Executive Director of HIFF, Albert LEE had confirmed that they had planned on re-launching the event after the government began laying restrictions for cinema halls to be opened.

The events will now be held on 18-31st August 2020 in the wake of the current Coronavirus pandemic. The line-up of all the movies for the festival will be announced on July 28th 2020 while the tickets will go live from August 5th 2020.
