House Of The Dragon trailer

The much-awaited House Of The Dragon trailer dropped today, and fans cannot wait to watch the Targaryen family and who wins the throne.

"... And all the dragons roared as one." Based on the popular fantasy book series by George RR Martin, the House Of The Dragon trailer was released today. Much to the fans' anticipation, the trailer looks like a treat for every Game of Thrones fan as we wait to see the story of the Dragon blood unravel. While GOT was inspired by A Song of Ice and Fire novels, House of Dragons is set two centuries before it and is inspired by RR Martin's Fire and Blood.

The show is a prequel to the most successful shows on television and talks about the history of the Targaryen family. It will focus on the civil war that existed between siblings Aegon II and Rhaenyra to take over the throne. Also known as the 'Dance of the Dragons', the fight for the throne breaks after their father, King Viserys I's passing. This leads other major houses in Westeros, including the Lannisters and Starks to experience the Mad King's rule as their most powerful dragons are set against them.

The show, which is set to release on August 21, 2022, has an ensemble of incredible cast like Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno and Fabien Frankel among others. The series is co-created by George and Ryan Condal. Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan are showrunners who also serve as executive producers along with George, Sara Hess, Jocelyn Diaz, Vince Gerardis, and Ron Schmidt.

After a rather disappointing finale of the most popular show, fans have been super excited to witness the story that led to the Seven Kingdoms' hate for the Targaryens. The trailer looks impeccable and grand like we all expected it to be. From having to choose between his brother, who already assumes himself to be the heir, and his daughter who would end up being the first Queen to ever sit on the throne, the show looks like a rollercoaster we cannot wait to hop on. With dragons, swords, and a lot of strategies, we cannot wait to see the history of King's Landing.

House Of The Dragons will be available on Disney+ Hotstar.
