Harry Potter return to Hogwarts

There was a gift on New Year's Day for all Potterheads in the form of a Harry Potter reunion, aka the day when Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts was released.

When HBO announced the reunion of Harry Potter after FRIENDS reunion, Potterheads all over the world couldn't keep calm. In the magical trailer, Emma Watson aka Hermoine Granger says "When things get really dark and times are really hard, there is something about Harry Potter that makes life richer", this made all Potterheads cry in unison! Harry Potter has been a huge part of my life growing up and watching all these people all grown-up, coming in together on the same set to discuss the films was the best gift for me on New Year's as a Potterhead. The two-hour Harry Potter reunion left me all nostalgic and feeling magical at the same time while also being teary-eyed. To my surprise there was still so much I didn't know!

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts has everything from the official letter by Hogwarts, the 9 3/4 platform, the train to the Ministry of Magic to Gringotts, Diagon Alley, the Gryffindor common room, and of course Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It all started with the official letter from Hogwarts and Emma Watson walking through the lanes while faces from the movies popped up here and there. The reunion was divided according to parts like 1st and 2nd made you enter into the world once again and how it all started. 3rd and 4th were all about raging teenage hormones, new entrants, and who had a crush on whom. 5th and 6th were about growing up and facing the reality, spilling out honest confessions. And finally, 7th was about bidding goodbye and giving the story the finish it deserved.

With each part, there were interviews between the directors and actors which takes you to the world behind the magical world onscreen. From how it all started to it becoming a world phenomenon, what it means for all the people involved in this making of the magical world, everything is looked at and pondered upon which leaves you feeling all emotional, nostalgic, and yet magical at the same time. The interesting factor was that for the people involved in this it became like home just like Hogwarts was for Harry.

At the reunion, we can see the cast Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Ian Hart, Toby Jones, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, producer David Heyman and filmmakers Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuaron, Mike Newell, and David Yates. Though the non-presence of J K Rowling, Professor McGonagall (Maggie Smith), Dumbledore (Michael Gambon), and some more people was largely felt and is even questioned, it was one magical ride that lead you down the nostalgic train.

But that's enough from this Potterhead, let's look at what the Janta is saying about this Harry Potter reunion!
