The movie starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Anurag Kashyap and more released on ZEE5 on May 22nd on the occasion of Eid. People took to Twitter to share their Ghoomketu review soon after.
Comedy and Drama remain Indian's favourite movies genres and when Nawazuddin Siddiqui takes up the role, the viewers know it's going to be an interesting watch. Out of many movies that will be realised on OTT platforms due to the lockdown, Ghoomketu is an Eid special. Ghoomketu (played by Nawazuddin) dreams of becoming a writer and he lands in Mumbai from Uttar Pradesh to fulfil his dreams. The movie is a blend of comedy and drama on how he settles in Mumbai and the story takes a comic route when his family files his missing report and case is assigned to inspector Badlani (Anurag Kashyap). The movie also features a cameo from Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha.
However, ever since the movie released on the streaming site, Zee5, it has garnered negative views. People took to Twitter to share their reviews of the movie.

And I should've seen this coming.
My Review of #Ghoomketu is up!

#Ghoomketu suffers from dull & ineffective screenplay and appears dated for 2020. Except for few comic moments and couple of fine performances, there is not much to recommend here. In one word, avoidable!! Read detailed #Review here..https://t.co/X4MO18Ny5O#GhoomketuReview pic.twitter.com/PqWYQUK6HI

An illogical, boring, complete waste of time film... #NawazuddinSiddiqui tries his best to make the film an entertaining fare, but no actor can rise above the script... This one's a lost opportunity... #GhoomketuReview. pic.twitter.com/sMr5RRqEBZ
Rubbish. #Ghoomketu doesn’t even deserve an #OTT release. Few things are better unreleased.. @Nawazuddin_S it was a complete Waste of time. Makers, What were you smoking? PATHETIC! #GhoomketuReview

#GhoomketuReview: #Ghoomketu belongs to everyone. @Nawazuddin_S is magnificent in a role that seems tailor-made for him. @iraginikhanna is outstanding from start to end. @brijkala, @anuragkashyap72 and #RaghubirYadav are superb. #IlaArun and @swanandkirkire lend able support.

Anurag Kashyap, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Brijendra Kala, Ila Arun and Raghubir Yadav are prominent names of Bollywood. No one can, in their wildest dream, think of them going… https://t.co/ZDT0bF7fG7
The unpredictable story with of #Ghoomketu directed by @mahonawala sir. With the cast @anuragkashyap72 & @Nawazuddin_S .. they made it more special?... the story is neutral but @anuragkashyap72 sir made it amazing..#GhoomketuOnZEE5 #GhoomketuReview pic.twitter.com/xVOjTz5k3n

#GhoomketuReview: A weak script and stale jokes (including a horrible fat-shaming leitmotif) lets down brilliant actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui & Raghubir Yadav in this movie now streaming on Zee5. I write for @ThePrintIndia. #movies#Ghoomketuhttps://t.co/duIr93MPrx

lots of negative reviews for #Ghoomketu of @Nawazuddin_S but these ppl either don't understand drama or they didn't watch full movie. It is a nice movie overall, as a cine lover like me loved it. Cameo of @SrBachchan

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️#GhoomketuReview: Director @mahonawala's #Ghoomketu succeeds in entertaining you from start to end. It is abundantly rich in humour and most importantly, has the right set of actors to carry off those roles with aplomb. It's a joyride! pic.twitter.com/1FHfReENLn
An utter disappointment !! Such bad editing, poor direction & some unnecessary scenes builds up to nothing but a headache !! Few positive thing about this movie includes the performance of illa arun, jaslin royal's voice & nawaz's effortless comic timings !!#GhoomketuReview pic.twitter.com/DNIxiZBzws
