Vansh Panday

Content creator, Vansh Pandya went from being the class clown to creating content but his true journey began when he started his YouTube channel when he was only 14!

We have all had that one person in school who made school tolerable and exciting. While everyone enjoys them throwing punches and cracking jokes about their peers, teachers or anything in between, they often do it at the risk of getting punished. A few of these people end up adopting this playful nature and make a profession out of it and content creator, Vansh Pandya belongs to this list. A part of the creator community, Vansh has slowly and gradually becoming a major part of the internet community sharing his creative thoughts and entertaining the masses on a global platform.

His content journey started right during school when he used to crack jokes to make his friends laugh and also get punished for it. His school teachers adored him for the standup comedy he used to perform in class, but also at times got punished for the punches he used to throw to make everyone laugh. "I also received a lot of lectures for cracking jokes in class." But his true journey began when he started his YouTube channel when he was only 14. Making comedy sketches, he began posting videos on the platform to let his creative juices follow and reach out to a larger audience.

Comedy has always been part of his life and he wanted to continue making videos for as long as he could. This encouraged him to create his own goal. "I set a consistent goal for myself: if I can make videos continuously until 10th grade, I'll join an acting academy, and it happened." That is how he enrolled himself in Anupam Kher's acting school, prepared for the diploma programme, and finished his studies there.

While sharing stories is something that loves, it is not the only thing that he focuses on. Apart from content creation, he invested himself in learning new things like crypto, NFTs, and Web3. "I am an investor in stocks, Crypto and NFTs. My hobbies are football, ice skating, roller skating, reading books and I love playing other sports as well." It was also his love to experiment with new hobbies that led him to join an array of creators on a reality show. He also became a wildcard entry in Playground Season 2 and made a mark among other players.

As a creator who is expected to keep sharing new stories every now and then, being hit with a creative block is only natural. But for Vansh it is all about keeping an eye on his surrounding. "I make my funny videos by turning normal everyday situations into crazy situations, adding masala to my characters, and acting." He tries to put his talent and ability to use every day, which makes it easier. He also reads books and watches movies to learn and be inspired.

Being part of the creator community only makes it exciting. Especially with new people trying their hand at it every other day, there is always someone new to challenge every creator. When asked what his thoughts are on people experimenting and trying new content to watch, he couldn't help but quote Rancho from the movie 3 Idiots. "Success ke peeche mat bhaago, excellence ke peeche bhaago, success jhak maar ke aayegi" He believes that no matter what you do, just do your best and be the most unique in it.

Vansh is also a part of the group that chooses to follow their heart and create a career out of it. "I believe that the purpose of my life is to make everyone happy and smile," he said while crediting social media platforms for providing that platform for him where he would reach out to millions. It was something that allowed many like him to fulfil their dream every day. "The desire to make everyone happy is what drives me the most." For him, creating amusing content is as natural as breathing.

The rise and popularity of the short video format has only contributed to his drive to chase his dreams. As he began creating more content, he realised that challenging oneself every day to do new things
makes it easy to analyse what his audience likes and doesn't like. It's all about creativity and knowing what his audience loves so he tries his best to evolve as they do and as their reactions change.

But despite his dependence on the ever-growing social media, Vansh hardly tries following trends. What he really likes is recreating iconic Bollywood scenes with his own script with completely different aspects shown in it. And there is a list creators that he follows, but he enjoys Bhuvan Bam and Ranveer Allahbadia’s content.

Here's what he said in this candid interview!

Since you started creating videos, what according to you are the best and worst parts of content creation?

The best part is that I enjoy every aspect of creation: writing, producing, devoting time to it, editing, shooting, and receiving feedback from my audiences. I can't pinpoint the most difficult aspect of content creation because I enjoy it so much, but I do keep an eye on my mental health.

Who do you look up for inspiration?

I get my inspiration from books, movies and real life.

A quote that always motivates you.

"No quote will work until you do."

Have you received any DM from your followers that stayed with you?

Every single follower who texts me, every text I keep. Fortunately, I don't take the haters seriously, and it has no effect on my mental health. I get long DM's for the work I do, which I am grateful for the most.

If you had to describe your hopes for 2023?

Only one goal from 2023, be better today than you were yesterday.
