While different people may find different things appealing, we all have our favorite elements when it comes to Indian celebrations. Personally, I eagerly await these festivals for the chance to savor my favorite delicacies. As a child, Holi held a special place in my heart for several reasons one being the excitement of tasting delicious gujiyas and refreshing thandai. You might question, "Why wait for Holi to enjoy these sweets?" Although it's valid, having them specifically on Holi is a different kind of high I love.
With Indian cuisine being as diverse as it is, it's undeniable that when I think of Holi, I don't just think of colors. I can taste them too, in every delightful bite and refreshing sip. However, what truly makes it special is the joy of sharing it with my family on that special day. So, whenever Holi rolls around, I'm all about wanting the delicious food that makes it even more awesome!
