Notably, one of the first batch of replies to Rihanna’s tweet in support of the farmers was from former Indian cricket Pragyan Ojha, who warned her that India does not need an outsider ‘poking her nose’ into its matters. Ojha, however, did not appear to be a part of the concerted hashtag campaign.
My country is proud of our farmers and knows how important they are, I trust it will be addressed soon. We don’t need an outsider poking her nose in our internal matters!

Twitteratis showed anguish towards the tweets from Indian celebrities and #SpinelessCelebs is trending as a result.
Diljit - Kangana Twitter war
Kangana Ranaut and Diljit Dosanjh were engaged in a bitter war of words on Twitter. Twitter also took down two tweets by Kangana Ranaut over violation of their rules. The move by Twitter comes a day after Kangana was seen ranting about international star Rihanna's support on the ongoing farmers' protest. The actress also made headlines after she called singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh a 'Khalistani' and referred to the farmers as 'terrorists'. This led to several Twitter users reporting Kangana's account, asking for it to be banned.
A Twitter spokesperson mentioned - “We have taken action on Tweets that were in violation of the Twitter Rules in line with our range of enforcement options.”
Diljit recently released the song 'RiRi' dedicated to Rihanna, heaping praises on her and calling her a gift from god. The song was released a day after Rihanna had tweeted in favour of the Farmers' Protests.
