After a great success with Manchester City for over a decade, one of football's greatest midfielder, David Silva played his last Premier League season.
David Silva the ex-Spain playmaker, is one of the best players who has been a pivotal part in the success of Manchester City for over a decade. The player who already had a World Cup and a European Championship medal took a bold decision to become part of a club that had not won any major cups for 34 years. He was able to win the FA cup in his first itself and there was no looking back since then for the club. Apart from scoring 60 Premier League goals since joining City from Valencia in 2010 and the FA Cup twice and the EFL Cup five times, D Silva has been able to win thousands of fans with his incredible game.
Today, Manchester City ended the Premier League season with a 5-0 win over Norwich. This game also marked D Silva's last game in the league as he plans to leave the City in Summer. It was also his 309th appearance in the Premier League. The ex-Spain playmaker has enjoyed an incredible career in the game alongside the club. He hopes to win the Champions League in Lisbon in August and end his time with a club with a happy note.
Although he had to play the final league game in an empty stadium because of coronavirus restrictions, he has been assured by manager Pep Guardiola of an invite back to Manchester when fans can return, so the playmaker can receive a proper farewell.
Fans poured in their love as a tribute to David Silva:
Even though he played for Manchester City, we have to congratulate David Silva for his fantastic career in the blue side of Manchester.

Played for a rival club but David Silva was one of a kind from the very start and he maintained that status right till his last game. There are some players for whom your respect crosses the boundaries of a rivalry. Gracias David, you are leaving as a Premier league legend pic.twitter.com/V9jFNm5OSz

David Silva. What a footballer. Sheer traversty that he and Marouane Fellaini fill out the same profession on forms.

One match that I always remember was the 2-3 defeat at Anfield 13/14 season. He put on a masterclass that dragged City level from 2 nil down. He was bewitching
