The Indian social media audience is no longer confined to rooting for their movies inside and outside cinema halls, but at every single step of the way! From teasers and trailers to first looks and rumours, here are some exciting Bollywood releases in 2018.
Compelling and intense films that guarantee a display of superior acting skills and action set pieces such as Mukkabaaz, Aiyaari and Parmanu that will bring the works of powerhouses Manoj Bajpayee, Naseeruddin Shah, Anurag Kashyap and more to the big screen. 2018 also brings with it a string of entertaining comedies and family films such as Padman, Sonu Ke Titu Ke Sweety, Hichki and more.
While there are numerous exciting Bollywood releases in 2018 lined up for release, we decided to keep our list rather short and crisp by including movies from January to March 2018.
1. Mukkabaaz - January 12th
From director Anurag Kashyap, Mukkabaaz is set in the rural parts of Northern India where the protagonist, a talented Boxer has to overcome caste based discrimination, the enmity of a villainous hurdle in his love life and more!
2. Padman - January 26
Akshay Kumar starrer Padman is based on the real-life story of Padma Shri recipient, Arunachalam Muruganantham, a man who single-handedly changed the discussions around menstruation and menstrual hygiene and providing a low-cost sanitary napkin to thousands of women all over the country.
3. Aiyaari - January 26
Neeraj Pandey, the man behind Special 26, A Wednesday, and Baby, brings us another action-packed drama film that stars Manoj Bajpayee, Naseeruddin Shah, Siddharth Malhotra, Anupam Kher, Kumud Mishra and many more.
4. Chanda Mama Door Ke - January 26
Promised to be one of India’s first sci-fi space film, it stars Sushant Singh Rajput, R. Madhavan, Shraddha Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar and is directed by Indira Gandhi award for Best First Film for a Director winner, Sanjay Singh Puran Singh.

5. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety - February 9
Another promising entry from a previously well performing filmmaker, Luv Ranjan brings his cast members from his previous hits Pyaar Ka Punchnama 1 and 2 for Sonu Ke Titu Ke Sweety, a bromance + romance!
6. Pari - February 9
Anushka Sharma looks haunting in this thriller that is Anushka Sharma’s third stint in the producer’s chair, previously giving us Phillauri and the acclaimed NH10.

7. Hichki - February 23
Rani Mukerji makes a comeback with Hichki where she plays the role of a protagonist who does not wish to let her neuropsychiatric disorder, known as Tourette’s syndrome, affect her everyday life and her pursuit of becoming a teacher.

7. Parmanu : The Story of Pokhran - February 23
John Abraham channels his inner patriot with the film that shall tell the story of India’s first successful nuclear detonation at Pokhran in Rajasthan. Releasing on January 26, there are only two more appropriate dates for a film like Parmanu to be released, Independence Day and Hon’ Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s birthday!

8. Love Sonia - February 22
Starring Richa Chadha and Freida Pinto alongside Hollywood starlet Demi Moore, Love Sonia is the tale of a young girl from a village who gets caught in the global sex trade. The film also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher, Sai Tamhankar and Rajkummar Rao.

9. Sanju - March 30
The last film to conclude a very interesting looking first quarter for Bollywood is also perhaps one of the most eagerly awaited Bollywood releases next year. Based on the life of one of Bollywood’s most iconic bad boys, Sanju stars Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt and is directed by none other than Rajkumar Hirani.
