A lot of exciting announcements were made this week and we've got you covered with all of it in this round up! Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao will finally be released on the big screen this Independance Day and we're intrigued to know how this horror-comedy will unfold further. Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan, returns in 2025 with its ninth season, promising more fun and candid conversations. Vijay's sci-fi action film, The Greatest of All Time, hits theaters this September while Kangana Ranaut's directorial debut, Emergency, finally gets a release date. On Netflix, The Umbrella Academy concludes with its fourth season, and the platform is also going to release an action-comedy named, The Union, starring Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry.

The film is based on Indira Gandhi's Emergency era, which Kangana terms "an explosive saga of the most controversial episode of the history of Indian democracy."

Patrick Demsey joins ‘Dexter’ prequel ‘Original Sin

Patrick Dempsey, known for roles in Ferrari and Grey's Anatomy, has joined the cast of Dexter: Original Sin as Captain Aaron Spencer, a Miami Metro Homicide captain, in the upcoming showtime series. The show, currently filming in Miami, stars Patrick Gibson as young Dexter Morgan and Christian Slater as his father, Harry Morgan.

Stree 2 is slated for release this Independance Day

Stree 2 is set to release on August 15, 2024, as announced by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan. The movie stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao and is directed by Amar Kaushik. This highly anticipated sequel is a Maddock Films production and the viewers await what the story has in store for them after a successful part one.
