An elderly Lebanese woman playing the piano amidst the debris in a shattered house in Beirut is giving people hope.
Two massive blasts hit the city of Beirut on Tuesday this week. The blasts were felt for more than 200 kilometres across the Mediterranean. With a 3.5 magnitude earthquake, the Beirut blast damaged buildings across the Capital killing about 100 people leaving 300 injured and rendered several people homeless. Amidst the extreme crises that the capital is facing now, this elderly Lebanese woman in Beirut plays soothing tunes of the piano to calm herself amidst the chaos.
The video is doing a round of social media and the source is anonymous but this video has spread some positivity in these difficult times and we are grateful to this lady. Music has the ability to calm people and her music will instantly tug your heartstrings.

This is heartbreaking. I’ve gone through hurricanes that can inflict damage, but with those at least there is a warning. You had none. Wishing the people of Beirut peace and hope.
