Lady Gaga to star opposite Joaquin Phoenix in Joker 2
The sequel, officially titled “Joker: Folie à Deux,” will star Lady Gaga opposite Joaquin Phoenix, returning to the role of Joker after winning the Oscar for best actor in the 2019 first installment. Warner Bros has confirmed the film is set to release on October 4, 2024.
Shraddha Kapoor to star opposite Karthik Aaryan in Tezaab remake
Shraddha Kapoor will star opposite Kartik Aaryan in the remake of the 1988 film 'Tezaab'. The makers of the film said that Shraddha and Kartik haven't shared on-screen space together so far and if things work out, this is a pair that the audience would get to see. The original film starred Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor.
Indian Adaptation of Israeli show “The Hood” in works
An Indian adaptation of the Israeli teen drama series 'The Hood' is in the works. The show, titled 'Shchuna' in Israel, follows the children of a small slum located in the heart of a wealthy settlement and explores the differences between the poor and the rich. The Israeli-based media company, Ananey Studios has signed a deal with Abundantia Entertainment to develop the adaptation.
Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor wrap up filming Bawaal in Poland
Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor have finished filming their upcoming movie 'Bawaal' in Poland. Varun Dhawan took to his Instagram to share a video announcing the wrap and shared that the film, being directed by Nitesh Tiwari, will release in theatres on April 7, 2023.
Madhavan meets Rajnikanth along with Nambi Narayanan
R Madhavan recently met veteran actor, Rajinikanth along with former ISRO scientist, Nambi Narayanan on whom he made a biopic 'Rocketry'. The actor shared pictures and videos as Rajnikanth felicitated him and Nambi. Madhavan wrote alongside his post, "When you get the blessings from...the very Legend himself in the presence of another Legend .. it's a moment etched for eternity."
Batgirl film canceled by Warner Brothers
Batgirl starring Leslie Grace and directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah has been shelved by Warner Bros even though the film had almost finished shooting. Due to some conflicts at HBO Max, the film has found itself on the receiving end of a bad decision. The directors as well as the audience were stunned to know that the film will no longer be seen at cinemas or at the streaming platform.

Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh got together for a reading session on Meghna Gulzar's upcoming film 'Sam Bahadur'. Vicky, taking to Instagram, shared some pictures from the reading session and wrote, "Reading together, a story we're honored to tell. Of a Soldier and a Gentleman." 'Sam Bahadur' is based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
Pratik Gandhi to play Mahatma Gandhi in Hansal Mehta’s upcoming web series
Filmmaker Hansal Mehta and Pratik Gandhi are reuniting after 'Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story' for a web series based on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. The upcoming project will be adapted from historian and author Ramachandra Guha's two books, 'Gandhi before India' and 'Gandhi: The Years that Changed the World'. Pratik will portray Mahatma Gandhi in the show.
Martin Scorsese and Leonardo Dicaprio to work together for a thriller
Legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are reportedly teaming up for a thriller film. Scorsese will be helming an adaptation of David Grann's upcoming nonfiction book 'The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder' for Apple. Scorsese and DiCaprio have previously worked on films like 'Gangs of New York' and 'The Wolf of Wall Street'.
Angad Bedi and Mrunal Thakur to work together for Lust Stories 2
Angad Bedi will reportedly star opposite Mrunal Thakur in director R Balki's segment of the anthology film, 'Lust Stories 2'. The upcoming project will mark Angad and Balki's second collaboration after 'Ghoomer', an upcoming film starring Abhishek Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, and Saiyami Kher.

The 1988 version follows an ambitious 30-something Staten Island secretary who takes over office operations while her boss is recovering from a broken leg. Kumail Nanjiani will be seen as Somen Banerjee, the founder of an exotic dance troupe who wanted to live the ultimate American dream. It's an intense tale of sex, drugs, and murder and how he gets corrupted by his own success. The limited series will show his rise and fall while also showing his rivalry with Nick De Noia.

Ishaan Khatter will be playing one of the male leads in Jee Le Zara, which is going to be a film where Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, and Priyanka Chopra will be going on a road trip this time. Directed by Zoya Akhtar and written by Reema Kagti, the makers said that Ishaan's role holds an important significance in the film. The movie will go on floors next year.
