A daily skin care regimen will keep your skin plump and moist; 7 things I do daily to keep my skin hydrated in summer- You are what you eat! So, I definitely add a lot of fruits and juices to my diet. Foods rich in vitamins A and B3 can improve your overall skin health. Hydrating your body is so important; drink enough water throughout the day. At least 8 glasses of water every day. Use fresh Aloe Vera as a mask. Follow with a hyaluronic acid serum. Then, a gel-based moisturizer or Water-based cream with ingredients like - Hyaluronic Acid & Glycerin. An overnight lip treatment. Sun exposure can dehydrate your skin, so sunscreen is a must.
As much as I love skincare, I do not tend to use a lot of products in my routine. I tend to wash my face regularly with a gentle face wash, and then vitamin c serum. . And a good moisturizer and if I'm stepping or doing a photoshoot, sunscreen is a must. The most cliche and yet most important component is drinking water. Lots of it. External and internal hydration is key in any skincare routine.
My mantra to keep my skin hydrated and healthy is to drink a lot of water. I try to consume 8-10 glasses of water every day. I also prefer fresh fruit juices over other drinks whenever I go out. I follow a simple regime of washing my face twice a day followed by an organic moisturizer that suits my skin, definitely followed by sunscreen during day time to protect my skin. I use homemade scrubs and face packs at least twice a week to remove any dead skin, provide much-needed nourishment, and reverse any damage done. One important tip I would like to give is - never ever sleep with any makeup on your face.
Summer is my favorite season! Love the bright sunlight it gets for all my shoots (JK), but the heat for sure balances the good side out! The heat can take a real toll on your skin! So here’s something I do: As cliche as it may sound, LOADS AND LOADS of water and fresh fruit juices, not to mention coconut water, is a must! A natural skin remedy for the skin that I can think of and I swear by is ALOE VERA & fruit masks, especially banana & oranges. For skincare products, I always recommend not forgetting your sunscreen, even if you aren’t stepping out of the house! I use Neutrogena dry-touch sunblock and the Neutrogena hydro boost for moisturizer! This is my skincare regime this summer!
As someone who’s grown up in a state like Rajasthan, skincare has really been a huge part of my self-care since childhood. I always say the best skincare routine includes water. Lots and lots of water. I make sure to drink at least 3 to 4 liters of water daily. That’s the one thing that keeps my skin hydrated. The second most important thing when I'm taking care of my skin, especially during summer, is Sunscreen. The UV rays from the sun can really damage the human skin, the results of which one can see not in a short period of time but in the long run. So sunscreen is a must. Even when I'm wearing makeup, I make sure to apply sunscreen in my skincare routine before makeup. Skincare before makeup brings me to CTM. Cleansing, Toning, and Moisturising. A good CTM routine ensures healthy skin. Additionally, during scorching heat, I apply Aloe Vera Gel stored in the refrigerator to my skin. Not only does that help with cooling the skin, but also gives the regular benefits of Aloe Vera. Weekly application of sheet masks really helps my skin and I consider that bit more of pampering for my skin rather than a skincare routine. As someone who wears makeup so often, it’s more important for me to take care of my skin above the regular skincare routines. And this is how I ensure my skin is always healthy, glowing, and soft.
