“Mera dream bhi nahi tha itna bada toh jaha mai aaj khadi hu, yeh outfit maine khud hi banaya hai." Nancy Tyagi has the world in awe of her creative ability.

Cannes has always been on everyone's radar and but apart from the celebration surrounding cinema, it has become a space of controversy for people who walk the carpet. Over the past couple of years, the presence of digital creators on the carpet and red-carpet fashion have been discussed and debated over instead of the films. While this debate goes on this year as well, one cannot ignore the impact that being in a place like Cannes has on people. Along with being able to celebrate films, there is a sense of privilege attached to this which helps the audience discover digital creators and many talented yet underrated actors. This year, the one who managed to shine with her creativity despite the disagreements surrounding creators was content creator Nancy Tyagi who left an impact with the outfits she wore and became the face of hard work and resilience at Cannes. Even film buffs couldn’t stop agreeing to it.

This fashionista from Baghpat district in Uttar Pradesh rose to fame from her DIY videos. Making outfits from scratch and nailing each look, Nancy has become an example of everything that a hardworking creative mind can achieve. Who would have thought that this small-time creator would make it to a global event like Cannes and have people around the world talk about her work? Deciding to stick to her usual drill, Nancy chose to custom-make her outfit rather than wearing something from a designer. She decided to wear a flowy gown with a trail that took her a month to make. With 1000 meters of fabric, she was able to get most fashion enthusiasts talking about her look. While people were still drooling over her debut outfit, she decided to stun everything with a beautiful after-party look - a custom design inspired by the Indian saree and hoodie which made her she look like an Indian version of Cinderella.

Since her appearance, people have been praising Nancy for her effort to make an outfit this detailed by herself and also for sharing the process with her followers. From the audience recreating her look, turning it into nail art to them making a fan edit and seeing her as an inspiration, there is a lot that people had to say about her!
