Content creator and mother, Dure Aden is learning every new Gen Alpha slang from her son, Zaviyar Babar and sharing them online, helping us expand our internet vocabulary too!
We all grew up learning the same English language, but it took us spending time on the internet to realize that not everyone uses it the same way. For years, there's a silent war going on between generations where one is totally oblivious of the other generation. There is less intrigue to know what the other generation means and more tendency to prove who is superior. Millennials, who once made fun of boomers and their way of functioning, are at the receiving end now with Gen Zs taking on this role.
Our beloved millennials were trying to navigate through GenZ’s ideas when all of a sudden everyone was hit by the wave of a whole new generation - Gen Alpha. A term often used for people born between 2010-2024, Gen Alpha has their own way of communicating with their peers. If you thought GenZ terms sounded like gibberish, then you aren't ready to listen to this one! The more you spend time online you come across terms like ‘skipidi toilet rizz’ and ‘finna’ being casually used in a sentence. Although it’s easier to ignore these strangers online who use these words, it's not quite the same for parents with kids who speak this language.
Instead of being ignorant of this ever-expanding internet vocabulary, Pakistani content creator and mother, Dure Aden decided to understand what this generation means. She decodes each term with her son, Zaviyar Babar and shares the meaning of some Gen Alpha slang terms for people to understand.
