Content creators, Bhuvan Bam, Viraj Ghelani, and Ankush Bahuguna open up about love, relationships, vulnerability, being emotional, and being a man on Yuvaa's Be A Man Yaar 2, making us fall in love with them all over again.
Very few men are comfortable talking about their emotions because being a man means repressing your feelings rather than showing any indication of their existence. But over the last few years, we have seen men break this age-old idea of what a 'man should be like'. They are presenting their vulnerability for the world to see, inspiring many young, growing men to embrace their feelings without feeling less of a man for doing so. Both seasons of Be a Man Yaar have managed to talk about the same and open conversations around moving past the pressure of being a conventional man.
Like the previous season, the second season has seen an incredible line-up of artists from across the entertainment spectrum. This includes content creators like Bhuvan Bam, Viraj Ghelani, and Ankush Bahuguna, who opened up about things that the audience can easily relate to, regardless of their gender. The audience had the opportunity to hear more about their lives, about being emotional, finding inspiration from the women in their lives, love, relationships, and being a man.
Known for his comedic character and ability to shapeshift, through his journey of starting small to headlining a show, Bhuvan Bam showed people a different side to him in his episode of this series. In the very personal, raw, and sensitive episode, Bhuvan also talked about his relationship with his parents, his family’s struggle in fighting alcoholism, his father’s brain stroke, years that he spent growing up in a tough environment, being in a loyal and stable relationship since 4th standard, how he keeps his relationship fresh and alive after so many years, why he started BB Vines production and what's next for him!
While recalling his struggles, he also spoke about keeping yourself relevant in the industry. “Yeh jo bolte hain na ki ab ja kar struggle khatam hua hai, maine kaha bhai jhooth hai ye. Struggle kabhi khatam nahi hota hai. Aap jaane jate ho apne peechle kaam ki wajah se, wo bhi galat hai. Aapko wo janwane ke liye bhi bohot haath paer marne padhte hain. Kya mujhe aisa karna cahiye? Over toh nahi ho jaega? Kya unko ye toh nahi lagega ki mauke ki talash mein hoon? Hoon na mauke ki talash mein isliye toh aaya hoon yahan pe ghar chhod kar apna, kaam karne. So I think haan, it's not an easy, hunky dory situation.”

Just like him, creators and actors, Viraj Ghelani and Ankush Bahuguna, exemplify how embracing vulnerability and openly expressing emotions is a genuine power. Viraj and Ankush credit the strong women in their lives for their understanding and respect for women today. Viraj being essentially raised by a single mother talks about how he was determined never to let anyone point fingers at his mother - a motivation that drove him to work harder and remain grounded in his authenticity. “Mujhe aisa tha ki kal uthke meri mummy ko koi aake aisa na bolke jaye ki iska toh husband nahi hain na toh ladka bigad gaya, so till today you will never see me drinking aur na maine koi aur tedhi cheeze kari hain.”
Meanwhile, Ankush also talks about his mother who has been an accomplished Garhwali actress for over 3 decades now and how she sparked his passion for acting and creativity from an early age. “Meri mummy 30 saal se acting kar rahi hain, she wanted to get into mainstream, Bollywood but it’s not an easy thing especially when you come from the regional cinema space, but she has hustled, she still goes for auditions, she can have all the problems in the world with me but she will always support me when it comes to performing and following my passion because she has been there and she understands.”

While both the episodes were able to give us a chance to view our favorite creators in a new light, it was also able to stir conversations on topics that men prefer to stay away from! They managed to encourage others to let their guard down every now and then to grasp every bit that makes them human.
