Rohit Shetty's Cirkus trailer is out and it looks like this Christmas is going to be like Ranveer Singh- oh so colorful and Bollywoodly entertaining!
Do you remember watching Golmaal boys trying to create some or the other mischief or Salman Khan's double role in Judwaa or Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale or Chennai Express? In short, if you mix the world of comedy created by Rohit Shetty to date with some of Priyadarshini and Salman's Judwaa then you get something like Cirkus. Rohit Shetty's Cirkus trailer came out today and it looks like an ode to his own films and other comedy films of the past. With a world created that looks too unreal to comedy that seems a little forced Cirkus looks like there is a lot going on in the film but could surely become a family watch this Christmas.
Mostly there is a hero who has a humshakal but here it looks like while the hero Ranveer Singh has a judwaa there is also the hero's best friend Varun Sharma who also has a judwaa. Hence what seems to be 2 times fun and confusion has turned into 4 times. While Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez are the love interests of each judwaa but the surprise is Deepika Padukone coming in the last minutes of the trailer for a dhamekadr dance sequence with Ranveer. There are so many known faces like veteran comedians Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, and many more that are also seen many times in the Shetty universe. Though it's the last scene with 5 boys standing in front of an Orphanage while introducing themselves, that will drive excitement amongst the Golmaal universe fans!

The story is unclear because it seems like a comedy of errors where the comedy will keep on arising because of the situation the characters will always find themselves in; hence the wheel of the story will move on as well. And even though it's set up in the 60s yet its sets with a flash of one too many colors all look too unreal (or maybe that's the idea), and the comedy seems redundant (though might work for some). Quite inspired by Angoor in terms of concept, Cirkus seems over the top, loud, larger than life, and completely massy film with a clear cut stamp of Rohit Shetty written in bold on it, and it borders on providing only entertainment, entertainment, and entertainment! In other words, just like Ranveer Singh's clothes and his personality!
Rohit Shetty is considered to be one of those sure short directors that drives families to the theatres. Now whether Cirkus will be able to do that or not remains to be seen on December 23 only in theatres. What did you think about the trailer? Let us know in the comments below!
