Cannes day 8 and 9 was a star-studded affair where everyone came to celebrate the 75th Anniversary party of Cannes while the film ELVIS had its premiere.
As the 75th Cannes film festival is coming near its end on May 28, Cannes days 8 and 9 saw some of the most star-studded red carpet because of the celebration of the 75th Anniversary party of the film festival. One of the biggest and much talked about films, ELVIS, had a premiere and received rousing applause and a standing ovation of over 12 minutes. While the anniversary party and ELVIS screening became the highlight, there were many other film premieres that took place too.
While Deepika Padukone chose to adorn a stunning royal black outfit on the ELVIS red carpet, it was her tangerine outfit that made the rounds because of the struggle and tussle of the actress attached to it. And on the same day as the 75th-anniversary party, the premiere of the French film L'Innocent took place! All of this and much more happened during days 8 and 9 of the Cannes Film Festival currently taking place in the South of France!

As it's well-known that the Cannes Film Festival 2022 marks the 75th year of the festival since its beginning. And to make the occasion more special in honor, there was an anniversary party thrown by the festival for everyone to come and celebrate films.

Baz Luhrmann’s ELVIS starring Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, and many more stars had a premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2022 and received roaring resounding applause as well as over a 12- minute standing ovation after the film was screened.

Deepika Padukone who is making rounds as one of the jury members of the film festival was seen struggling with the tangerine dress that she chose to wear for the Anniversary party. Watch her glide across the red carpet tussling with her dress, making us all realize the struggle behind these looks.

The Innocent is a 2022 French drama film, directed by Louis Garrel, from a screenplay by Garrel, Tanguy Viel and Naïla Guiguet. It stars Roschdy Zem, Anouk Grinberg, Noémie Merlant and Garrel.

Nostalgia by Mario Martone also has its premiere
The film tells the story of Felice Lasco who returns to the Sanità district to look after his sick and dying mother after 45 years spent between the Middle East and Africa. In Naples, he waits to meet Oreste, a friend of the past, who has become a criminal. Directed by Mario Martone it stars Pierfrancesco Favino, Francesco Di Leva, Tommaso Ragno, Aurora Quattrocchi.
