A new week has begun at the prestigious film festival Cannes 2023 and all cinephiles are looking forward to it. The 76th edition of the film festival is currently being held at the French Riviera. Day 8 of Cannes 2023 was less dramatic than others, but it was interesting nevertheless. Cannes 2023 Day 8 witnessed the premieres of the awaited 'Asteroid City' by Wes Anderson and 'Rapito' aka 'Kidnapped' by Marco Bellocchio.

Wes Anderson's 'Asteroid City' premieres at Cannes; actors grace the red carpet
The legendary director Wes Anderson's space-themed film Asteroid City premiered at Cannes 2023 on Tuesday and received great reviews from the critics and audience. Amongst those who walked the red carpet for the premiere were Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jason Schwartzman, Steve Carrell, Bryan Cranston, Adrien Brody, and other cast members.

Marco Bellocchio's 'Rapito' aka 'Kidnapped' premieres
Italian-language historical drama by Marco Bellocchio, 'Kidnapped' also premiered at Cannes 2023 on Tuesday, May 23. The film is based on the real-life story of the 6-year-old Jewish boy Edgardo Mortara who was seized by the Catholic Church in 1858.
Actor Mouni Roy debuts on red carpet
Mouni Roy, best known for her role in Indian TV show Naagin, made her debut on the Cannes red carpet on Tuesday. She is attending the film festival in association with the brand Lenskart.
