A remake of the French show ‘Dix Pour Cent’, Call My Agent Bollywood is all set to show off the real face of B'wood on 29th October.
The people behind the stars and the creators of creative marriages, the agents of Bollywood just like French ones are all set to show you the real face-off the B'wood. Netflix released the trailer of the show Call My Agent Bollywood today. It is an Indian adaptation of the popular French show ‘Dix Pour Cent’ which translated in English reads, Call My Agent. Written by Abbas and Hussein Dalal and directed by Shaad Ali it stars Aahana Kumra, Ayush Mehra, Soni Razdan, and Rajat Kapoor in pivotal roles with many star-studded guests appearances.
Now anyone who has seen the french show knows that the story follows four agents who have just lost their boss into a spiral of saving their company while their own personal lives also go on. This Indian adaptation will go on just the same path with a stamp of Bollywood on it. These agents manage everything from the egos of the stars to the shit of the stars. These talent managers are usually parents, friends, sisters, brothers, basically anything to everything that their talent demands. Now, these talent managers of Mumbai talent agency ‘Art’ have to make it through the torrent of tantrums, ego clashes, and mishaps to save their agency after the demise of their boss and as well as their talents.
Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Banijay Asia the show will also see Farah Khan, Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Lara Dutta, Jackie Shroff, Dia Mirza, and more as guest appearances. The french show has received so much love and appreciation that it has been given several adaptations. There is a Turkish version “Menajerimi Ara,” and a British version is under production for Amazon Prime Video, while a South Korean version is being developed as well. It is a satirical comedy that focuses on behind the scenes of making into a star or rather who is behind the making of a star.
Personally being a fan of this show for its sheer brilliance make, couldn't wait for this Indian adaptation to hit soon and just hope that they do justice to 'Dix Pour Cent' as well as bring some Bollywood spin into it. Call My Agent Bollywood will release on the 29th of October on Netflix. What do you think about the trailer? Do tell us in the comments below!
