Bunty aur Babli 2 starring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Sharvari Wagh in lead roles is coming on November 17 only in theatres.
Remember when Bunty aur Babli (Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee) shook the whole world with their smartass cons. Well, they're back with a twist in the tale! In Bunty aur Babli 2 there will be two Bunty's and two Babli's. Saif Ali Khan is replacing Abhishek Bachchan and there are new faces like Siddhant Chaturvedi, Pankaj Tripathi, and Sharvari Wagh who have been added to the franchise.
Apparently from the trailer, it looks like Bunty and Babli (Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee) have retired from an era of cons and they've turned into a typical family, like the one you see on Doordarshan. Babli is now a full-time housewife and mother while Bunty works with the railways with a big paunch for a stomach. The twist in the tale comes when Bunty and Babli's standardized 'charche' return and the police (Pankaj Tripathi) capture these two. Turns out that there's a young couple (Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh) out there who've been conning people under the disguise of Bunty and Babli.
The OG 'Bunty and Babli' join hands with the police to catch hold of these fake ones. And as the trailer suggests, it looks like a comedy with a war between the pros and the cons.
With an upgrade of the original soundtrack, the trailer looks fun, entertaining, and filled with a whole lot of different looks that the four actors take up. One thing is for sure though, we're going to miss the original Bunty aka Abhishek Bachchan. From witty dialogues to dhanshu cons and the usual cop chasing drama, this second installment seems to bring back the masala of the original one on the big screen with a double dose.
