Breakdancing has now become an official Olympic sport. To attract young viewers across the world, the International Olympics' Committee has added break dancing to the list of medal events in the 2024 Olympics games. Along with breakdance, other games to make their debut are skateboarding, surfing, and sport climbing. While this news has been welcomed by breakdance enthusiasts, some people believe it's not a good decision.
After the announcement on Monday, 7th December, Twitter saw some mixed reactions. Here are some of them:

Do people still breakdance?
I'm shocked. It should be a part of the gymnastic category if anything.
Folks complaining about Break Dancing in the Olympics are forgetting about curling and horse dancing. I think this is awesome. https://t.co/zliNQvAiFJ

I’m sorry what!!! There is no other dancing in the Olympics, why this style? What about Ballet, tap, contemporary, hip hop, ballroom, jazz - why such a niche dance style as breakdancing! 🤦🏼♀️
