Barkhurdar! Take a look at how the villain that will always have a special place in our hearts- Pran
A name synonym to viciousness and fear, Pran is one of the most celebrated villains of the Indian cinema. While rest villains had their own genre of horror people never knew what to expect every time Pran walked into a scene. He created his own domain in the villain world and continues to dominate it. Be it having a particular way of smoking a cigarette or donning a kohl eye, he re-defined villainy look.
Pran Krishan Sikand is an Indian actor who made the 50s and 60s movie watching experience worthy. Born in Ballimaran, Old Delhi he was one among his six siblings. He began his acting career with a Punjabi movie Yamla Jat and the went on do many iconic roles in the Hindi film industry. He has also acted in a few Bengali films. We know he did exceptional work when people used to get scared of seeing him on screen.
Pran who was a very loved hero chose to become a well-known villain, and the reason seems to be his hate for dancing (but we loved watching him dance in the song 'Yaari hai imaan mera yaar meri Zindagi'). He became such an important part of the industry that writers especially wrote roles for him. Every movie he acted in ended with the credits as 'and Pran' giving him a special mention.
