With his characters, Sidharth Malhotra has not only established himself as an actor but also helped us connect to him. Here are some of his characters we loved and related to. 

Sidharth Malhotra might be more famous for his portrayal of Vikram Batra in Shershaah. But if anyone has seen him in Student of the Year, then they would remember him as Abhimanyu Singh aka Kukkad kamal ka. While we have seen him play many characters, there were a few characters who left their footprint on us! Because they resonated with us and in turn connected us to him so here are 5 roles that stood out in his journey till now and stayed with us for a while.

Abhimanyu Singh - Student of the Year 

A tall kukkad who stole everyone's heart with his ways, Abhimanyu was the only character whom the middle-class students connected with in this rich-class high school world built by Karan Johar. His love for his grandmother, loyalty in friendship, and junoon to prove himself and be someone in life with his hard work in this world of powerful connections was something we all connected with! 

Arjun Kapoor - Kapoor and Sons 

Every younger sibling felt the pain of what it was like to grow up in the shadow of a perfect older sibling. Especially when you both have the same talent and ambition. In this case - writing and the older one becoming successful while you're still struggling. Through Arjun, we found out that life is not as easy for the youngest of the house because you have to work twice as hard to prove your worth.

Nikhil Bhardwaj - Hasee Toh Phasee

A perfect example of being stuck between a tussle between mind and heart, Nikhil's mind tells him that the older sister, Karishma, a model, is better suited for him and he is doing the right thing by marrying her. Unfortunately for him, he falls in love with a crazy, weird scientist and thief aka Meeta, Karishma's sister, and cannot give up on her as she brought out a side to him that he didn't even know existed.

Guru - Ek Villian 

Guru is probably the best example of how one can change oneself in love, go from walking on the wrong path to the right one after you find the right person. After meeting Ayesha and seeing live her life to the fullest even when she is standing on the brink of dying, Guru's entire life changes! 

Vikram Batra - Shershaah

Vikram Batra is Sidharth's most popular and definitive work but it also brought out an emotional connection to Vikram Batra who was known more as a martyr who died for his country. We never really knew more about him as a person and some maybe didn't know what made him the Kargil war hero. Malhotra made us meet the person behind the name!
