The International Indian Film Academy Awards 2024 was recently held in Abu Dhabi, and it looked like a Bollywood star extravaganza, with SRK, Rani, Rekha, Vicky, Kriti, Shahid, and others dazzling the night away!
The International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2024, held in Abu Dhabi on September 28th, was a star-studded celebration of Bollywood’s finest. With Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Rekha, Vicky Kaushal, Kriti Sanon, and Shahid Kapoor lighting up the event, the night was nothing short of a cinematic spectacle. SRK and Rani Mukerji took home top honours for their performances in Jawan and Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, respectively. Meanwhile, Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 12th Fail earned accolades for Best Storytelling and Best Director, while Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal dominated the awards with wins for Best Film, Best Music, and more. The legendary Hema Malini was celebrated for her Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema, while Karan Johar was honoured for his 25 years in the industry; at the same time, his film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani won awards for Best Story and Dialogues. Shabana Azmi and Anil Kapoor clinched awards for supporting roles, while Bobby Deol impressed as he nabbed Best Performance in a Negative Role.
Powerful and energetic performances by Vicky Kaushal, Kriti Sanon, Shahid Kapoor, and Ananya Panday added to the entertainment, but the legendary Rekha stole the show with her timeless performance. A new pair of hosts, Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Kaushal shared hosting duties, keeping the audience engaged with their infectious energy and humour, making it a truly unforgettable evening and giving many moments to cherish!

IIFA 2024 was a three-day event from September 27 to September 29. Day 1 featured the IIFA Utsavam, which honoured the South film industry. The primary awards night was held on Day 2, followed by IIFA Rocks for the music industry on Day 3- a spectacular night of unmatched music with Shankar–Ehsaan—Loy, Shilpa Rao, Honey Singh, and more, celebrating Indian cinema’s trailblazer, hosted by the duo Siddhant Chaturvedi and Abhishek Banerjee.
