Real report cards for fictional Bollywood teachers

Ever wish you could grade your teachers? Well, here's your chance! Join us as we hand out real report cards to Bollywood's iconic teachers.

Growing up, it felt like teachers love handing out reports card, no? But what about students? Don't we also deserve to hand out report cards to our teachers and give feedback? While we couldn't do this in school, today seems like the perfect day! Since we can't do this IRL, writing report cards for our fictional teachers will have to suffice.

From the well-meaning but slightly misguided to the downright dysfunctional, let’s hand out some real report cards to these beloved (and not-so-beloved) educators from Bollywood. It should be fun! Buckle up for a rollercoaster of grades and sarcasm, served with a side of truth.

Check them out!

Miss Chandni- Main Hoon Na

Grade: B+

Strengths: Miss Chandni’s superpower is being everyone’s friend. She’s the teacher who’ll give you a hug and a pep talk when you need it most. Her support extends beyond the classroom (like giving a student a feminine makeover), which is definitely praiseworthy. Plus, she can rock a fabulous saree while teaching organic chemistry- talk about an all-rounder!

Areas for Improvement: Her idea of discipline is probably a gentle reminder and a soft "please don’t do that again," which might not cut it for some students, especially those who are in love with her.

Final remarks: Miss Chandni’s heart and wardrobe are on point, but her classroom management skills can be better. Also, don’t fall in love with students maybe.

Narayan- Mohabbatein

Grade: C

Strengths: Narayan is the epitome of traditional education, sticking to rules and regulations like they’re the holy grail. He’s all about keeping things orderly and predictable.

Areas for Improvement: He’s quite stuck in his ways and that’s not very cute, very demure of him. He prioritizes parampara, pratishtha and anushasan over engaging with his students. No wonder the kids prefer the professor serenading the ghost.

Final remarks: Narayan gets points for keeping the chaos at bay, but he needs to chill. Maybe he should take a cue from Rocky Randhawa’s grandfather and open his heart to love. After all, it’s never too late for a change of heart.

Virus- 3 Idiots

Grade: D

Strengths: Virus is a walking, talking encyclopedia of academic knowledge. He’s got the facts, figures, and frowns to prove it.

Areas for Improvement: His teaching method is like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. His idea of inspiring students is to scare them into compliance.

Final remarks: Virus’s approach to teaching is like serving a gourmet meal with no seasoning- technically correct, but utterly bland. He needs to mix in some creativity and empathy to turn his classroom into something that doesn’t resemble a prison camp. And seriously, encouraging students to stay alive should be the bare minimum, good lord!

Ram Shankar Nikumbh- Taare Zameen Par

Grade: A

Strengths: Nikumbh is the teaching equivalent of a warm blanket and a cup of cocoa. He’s empathetic, creative, and actually seems to understand that students aren’t robots.

Areas for Improvement: None, really. Nikumbh is one of the very few good role models in Bollywood. Keep it up, actually.

Final remarks: Nikumbh is the superhero of teachers. He makes learning feel like an adventure, not a chore. His teaching is rooted in empathy. His approach is as joyous as finding extra fries at the bottom of the bag.

Miss Braganza- Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Grade: B+

Strengths: Miss Braganza is the queen of enthusiasm. She brings the kind of GenZ energy to her classes that could probably power a city.

Areas for Improvement: First off, what exactly does she teach- Literature? Dance? Who knows? And if a student flirts with you, maybe consider sending him to counseling instead of blushing back. Also, flirting with the principal? Come on, Miss Braganza, let's focus!

Final remarks: Miss Braganza's classes are anything but dull, and her enthusiasm for even the simplest answers, like "Pyaar dosti hai," is commendable. However, it might be time for her to focus a little more on actual teaching instead of just enjoying the vibes.

Kabir Khan- Chak De! India

Grade: A

Strengths: Kabir Khan is a motivational juggernaut. He knows how to turn a group of misfit players into a winning team. His coaching style is intense but incredibly effective.

Areas for Improvement: His approach might be a bit too intense for some, and he sometimes forgets that not everyone thrives under extreme pressure.

Final remarks: Kabir Khan is like the ultimate TED Talks speaker in a coach’s uniform. His ability to push his team to greatness while teaching them the value of teamwork is nothing short of legendary.
