On Tuesday, the nominations for the 51st International Emmy Awards were announced, and catching Shefali Shah, Jim Sarbh, and Vird Das on the list left us all excited!
The Emmy Awards has been considered one of the most prestigious awards for shows; it's like the Oscars for TV. Hence getting nominated for these awards is like getting recognized by the world. And that's why when the three names from our country ended up in the list of nominations announced on Tuesday, it made everyone's day! Shefali Shah, Jim Sarbh, and Vir Das are nominated this year for the 51st International Emmy Awards and we're so elated for them! The three of them shared the news of this happy occasion while penning down their feelings on Instagram.
Shefali Shah, the woman who broke all barriers with her acting skills, is nominated for the Best Performance by an Actress category for her role as Vartika Chaturvedi in Netflix's Delhi Crime season 2. Delhi Crime season 1 has earlier won an award in the Best Drama Series category!
Jim Sarbh, the mighty talented actor gets his much deserved and long pending recognition with a nomination in the Best Performance by an Actor category for his role as Dr. Homi Bhabha in SonyLIV's Rocket Boys.
On the other hand, actor-turned-stand-up comedian Vir Das who has made a name for himself all across the world in this field gets his second nomination for the Emmys. He was nominated in the Best Comedy category for his Netflix comedy show Vir Das: Landing.
Congratulations to all of them for this wonderful news and here's hoping we bring all three trophies home! Apart from this, Ekta Kapoor will be felicitated with the Directorate Award for her contribution to Indian Television at the International Emmy Awards held in New York on November 20, 2023. Earlier this year, Radhika Madan was a part of the jury for the International Emmy Awards as well!
