Vir Das, our beloved comedian won his first-ever International Emmy. He was elated while sharing the news on the gram and dedicated the award it to India and Indian comedy.
Meanwhile, producer Ektaa Kapoor was honored with the International Emmy Directorate Award at the 51st International Emmys for her trailblazing career and impact on the Indian television landscape. Her contribution to Indian Television is humongous and this honor just celebrates that. She dedicated the ward to her country as well.
Even though Shefali Shah and Jim Sarbh missed out on the International Emmy for Best Actress/Actor for their performances in Delhi Crime and Rocket Boys to Mexican actor Karla Souza in Dive and Martin Freeman in The Responder, respectively yet their nomination is a huge stepping stone towards India's honor. And both of them are sharing the deeds while attending the ceremony.
