The Exorcist: Believer prepones its release to avoid Taylor Swift showdown

To avoid clashing with the release of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour concert film on October 13, The Exorcist has changed its opening date to October 6. The horror sequel’s audience overlaps with Swift’s fans, so the move was made quickly after the singer announced her film. The Exorcist was originally scheduled to debut on the same day as Swift’s film.

Countdown for The Archies begins as the film will premiere on Netflix on December 7

The Archies, the first feature film adaptation of Archie Comics, will premiere on Netflix on December 7. The film is a live-action musical set in 1960s India, following the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and their friends in the fictional town of Riverdale. The film is directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Tiger Baby and Graphic India. The film stars Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Mihir Ahuja, and others as the iconic characters.

The official trailer of The Continental: From the world of John Wick is out now

The official trailer of The Continental: From the World of John Wick, a three-part event series that explores the origin of the hotel for assassins in the John Wick universe, is out now. It's set in 1970s New York and follows a young Winston Scott, played by Colin Woodell, as he gets involved in the hotel’s underworld and tries to take over the hotel. The series also stars Mel Gibson, Mishel Prada, Ben Robson and others. The first episode will premiere on September 22 on Prime Video.

Taylor Swift joins The Weeknd in becoming the only artist to reach 100 million monthly Spotify listeners

Taylor Swift has become the first female artist and the second artist overall to hit 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify. She achieved this milestone on August 29, 2023, following the release of her ninth studio album, Evermore, and the re-recording of her second album, Fearless (Taylor’s Version). The only other artist who has reached this feat is The Weeknd, who crossed the 100 million mark in February 2023.

The official trailer of Jawan, a Bollywood action thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan, was unveiled on August 31, 2023. The film is set to release in theatres on September 7, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Ashnikko releases her debut album Weedkiller

Ashnikko, the genre-bending artist, finally released her debut album Weedkiller this week. The album is a concept album about a tribe of fairies fighting against the destruction of their forest by humans. The album showcases her unique style and voice, blending pop, rap, rock, and electronic elements. Weedkiller features collaborations with Doja Cat, Grimes, Rico Nasty, and others. 

Yaariyan 2 will hit the cinemas on October 20

Yaariyan 2, the sequel to the 2014 musical drama Yaariyan, will hit the cinemas on October 20, 2023. It's directed by Divya Khosla Kumar, produced by T-Series and stars Divya Khosla Kumar, Meezaan Jafri, Pearl V Puri, and others as the lead characters. The film follows the friendship and love of four college students who go on a road trip to Europe.
