With Oppenheimer getting 13 nominations and Nisha Pahuja's 'To Kill a Tiger' being nominated for Best Documentary, nominations for the Oscars 2024 might not be surprising, but they are exciting for sure!
In the eloquent words of Schitt’s Creek's Moira Rose, what is our favorite season? "Awards." It’s the season of awards and the most prestigious of them all, The Academy, aka the Oscars, has kick-started the show for 2024. The nominations are out, and it's looking like a real competition. No surprises here – Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' is leading the race with a whopping 13 nominations. Other movies making the cut are 'Maestro,' 'Barbie,' 'Anatomy of a Fall,' 'Killers of the Flower Moon,' and 'Poor Things.' Some folks are a bit bummed that 'Barbie' didn’t snag nods for Best Director or Best Actor. But for Indians, there's a reason to cheer – Nisha Pahuja’s 'To Kill a Tiger' is up for Best Documentary Feature Film.
