Here's How You Can Donate To The Assam Flood Relief Fund

The entire state of Assam is under duress due to the damage caused by recent floods. It was earlier this week that incessant rains added to the already-rising water levels of River Brahmaputra marking it above the danger level across the northeastern state along with ten other rivers. People, animals and property have all been disrupted bringing life to a standstill in over 33 districts. Agricultural land has also been affected by the floods with 1,50,213,60 hectares of land being underwater.  The Kaziranga National Park reported the death of 17 wild animals as a result of the floods. As per the National Park's official report, the floodwater has also affected 155 of its 199 anti-poaching camps.

The state government has undertaken round the clock rescue operations along with relief and rehabilitation. The efforts have resulted in about 83,000 people being evacuated from affected regions with accommodation arranged for them in 183 relief camps throughout the state.
