Reuse, revamp, restyle

With the breaking down of conventional fashion ideas, repeating clothes is not considered to be a sin anymore. In 2022, it is considered to be more of a fashion statement. Hence, instead of investing in new and elaborate outfits, put your old lehengas, salwar suits and anarkalis to use. Just switch the dupatta or the blouse and you are set. Finish off the look with your favourite accessories

You can even try wearing your dupatta in some unconventional ways to give your outfit a new look and create a different vibe altogether.

Hack it

If you don't mind going down the experimental route, indulge in some fashion hacks and elevate your glam game this Diwali. From wearing your lehenga as a maxi dress to transforming your dupatta into a cape or a kaftan - the outcomes of DIY hacks are sort of limitless. And while it may seem a little daunting at first, trust me, it's worth giving it all a try. And you might as well end up giving some major #stylegoals, right?

Mom’s saree FTW

There’s never a better outfit option to opt for than your mom’s saree, especially during special occasions like this. Our beloved mothers are known hoarders of some gorgeous sarees and it's about time that you donned one of those beauties. Team it up with a contemporary blouse, a crop top, a corset or even a shirt and there you have an Instagram-worthy Diwali fit ready! You can even try out new draping styles and play around with your accessories for a more innovative look.

Mix and match

Mix and match your wardrobe staples to spice up your fashion game this Diwali while keeping it budget-friendly. Go indo-western and pair your dresses, palazzos, shirts and skirts with traditional pieces. You can keep it as simple and as fuss-free as pairing a maxi dress with chunky ethnic jewellery. Or you can try on a plain white shirt with your favourite lehenga and finish off the look with a matching pair of juttis (or sneakers- anything works, you make the call!). Just keep in mind that the memo calls for some major bohemian romance!

That’s all about how you can easily make some “jugaad” and craft your way to a budget-friendly yet fashion-forward wardrobe this Diwali. It's easier than you think and the results are bound to be way sassier than you can imagine. And yes, one last trick: no matter what style tip you opt for, do not forget to flaunt that gorgeous smile of yours!

Have a safe and happy Diwali!
