Annabelle Comes Home is the latest offering in the franchise developed as a spin-off to the Conjuring. The film, directed by Gary Dauberman is the origin story of the doll who has, over the years, left most of us scared, shrieking and gasping multiple times.
While Annabelle Comes Home was a highly anticipated film by loyal fans and critics alike, the reviews and reactions are quite scattered. Some have loved the film and believe that the story stays true to the genre giving you that thrill and the 'OMG, I am going to die!' feeling while others believe the components used to create these supposedly scary and spine-chilling moments aren't appetizing enough for the viewers' evolved palette for the genre.
Here's what the Twitter folks have to say about the film. Take a look before you decide whether or not you'd be watching the movie this weekend:
I really enjoy all of The Conjuring series, @annabellemovie is surprisingly the best of the franchise. Scary AND fun, this movie delivers on many levels. The world of supernatural happenings is well crafted, and characters are excellent! #AnnabelleComesHome

#AnnabelleComesHome is a good old-fashioned jump scare horror movie. It's a fun flick, I really enjoyed the direction they took with this film. Kind of made me miss high school too. Ghost story vibes.

I didn't hate #AnnabelleComesHome but it really wasn't anything special. Just more of the same when it comes to the Conjuring/Annabelle movies. A few cool jump scares and some good performances but that's about it. Still much better than #TheCurseofLaLlorona. 5.5/10. Grade: C pic.twitter.com/P9VNNR1yO2

Annabelle Comes Home is a solid addition to the Conjuring Universe. It could have done with another 10 minutes, but otherwise was a really good movie. #AnnabelleComesHome #Annabelle3

While The Conjuring Universe is a mixed bag, this addition is pretty solid. Prep for the latest Annabelle with the prequel: Annabelle Creationhttps://t.co/o1FVrsRHip

As we mentioned, there is no clear hit or miss audience reaction to 'Annabelle Comes Home' yet.
