From 'Ek Pal Ka Jeena' in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai to'Jai Jai Shivshankar' in War, Hrithik Roshan, the official Indian Greek god who danced his way into all of our hearts!
Dear Hrithik Roshan (Duggu),
For the world, there would be Michael Jackson who taught them how to dance but as a passionate dancer myself it was you who I followed first. It all started with 'Ek Pal Ka Jeena' to 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai' and is still continuing till date with 'Jai Jai Shivshankar'. But apart from teaching the country how to dance in your swift smooth ways your journey as an actor has been a tremendous one. From Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai to Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham to Dhoom 2 to Krrish to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara to War and to many more yet to come.
While you might have entered into people's hearts with hook steps and a crazy love story but you are also the actor who went on to give us the firsts of the first. With Koi Mil Gya you brought India's first alien 'Jaadu' straight into our hearts with your sweet little charming character of Rohit. And its sequel gave us our very own India's first superhero Krrish. With Fiza, we got a story of a young boy strangled into terrorism and with Dhoom 2 we got our very own facing-changing thief we could be proud of. But for me, your most memorable work to date is Guzaarish and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. One talks about euthanasia for the first time and the other about the value of emotions amongst male friendships.
Your bank of filmography includes many more amazing works like Jodhaa Akbar, Super 30, Lakshya, Agneepath, Mission Kashmir, Luck By Chance, and more. But it was not just your dance or acting or your greek god looks that left an impact on people it was also you being a person. Your love story with your wife Sussanne Khan made us all believe in love. And even when now you two are not together but the immense understanding that the two of you have is an inspiration. And your relationship with friends, family, and your kids is a good example of how a man can find a balance between it all.
Yes past some years have been a time of struggle with controversies and your health not keeping well. But with the film War, you proved that there is no one like you and you are back with a bang! With various new projects lined up that we are all eagerly waiting for you just proved that taking a break for your health is healthy. And that life's ups and downs are just as much the part of an actor's life just as anyone else's, that doesn't mean you stop working. After all, then you can make you come back again with a bang. And whoever said that age is just a number said it right, cause you, our Indian greek god are just aging like fine wine!
With Love,
A passionate dance mentee
