From Singham to Golmaal, Ajay Devgn has given us a plethora of entertaining movies to watch over the years and we will cherish them forever!
Dear Ajay Devgn,
Your movies are proof of the fascinating characters you've played over the years. In Phool aur Kante, your first film's very first entry scene had you standing on two motorcycles and simultaneously balancing them. Little did we know that standing on motorcycles and fighting criminals would be a part of most of your films making it look powerful each time you do it so effortlessly. In Zakhm you played a boy stuck in the complications of communal riots and religion which earned you a much deserving National award.
You have made innumerable people laugh with your Golmaal series, the very witty character of Gopal makes everyone watch the movies on loop with their friends and family. Your perfect comic timing in All the Best, Bol Bachchan, Total Dhamaal, and of course Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? in which your screen presence with Paresh Rawal is one for the books. It's highly underrated and yet one of your gems, I would say. In Tanhaji and The Legend of Bhagat Singh, you portrayed these unsung warriors who are such a huge part of our history with the utmost conviction and hard work.
In Tarzan - The Wonder Car, you made all of us believe that it was actually you inside the car protecting your son from evil and taking your revenge on the ones who wronged you. You explored your skills as an actor when you played a promising politician in Rajneeti and a dangerous gangster Sultan Mirza in Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai.
But it's stories like Drishyam that has your audience weak in the knees with goosebumps and nail-biting moments in a thrilling murder mystery, a genre that's not at all easy to master. After your successful relationship as an actor-director with Rohit Shetty in Golmaal, you two went on to build the biggest cop universe this country had ever seen. You came roaring on the screens with the Singham series and everyone just had one dialogue stuck to their minds- "Aata majhi satakli". Your eyes do most of your talking and you prove to everyone that one does not need many expressions to make the scene look good. A simple stare can make someone shiver. You always will be the epitome of justice in your movies whilst your audience is rooting, whistling, and cheering for you the loudest at the cinemas.
You're married to one of the most beautiful and loved women in the country. Even though she has a separate fan base for her romantic movies with none other than Shahrukh Khan, you showed everyone that an honest and wholesome relationship can be long-lasting than any Bollywood film! The two of you even started your own production house, Ajay Devgn Films which made its first movie Raju Chacha. The movie was critically acclaimed and you both looked perfect together on screen.
In 2016, you were honored with the Padma Shri for your contribution to Hindi cinema and you still continue to surprise us by experimenting with new content and giving your fans something to look forward to each time. Your most recent work as Karim Lala in Gangubai Kathiawadi was phenomenal, to say the least. You do look like a safe shoulder to rely on for a woman and give her the respect she truly deserves. With Rudra, you made your debut in the OTT world and you've conquered that mountain effortlessly too.
Your quirky sense of humor, sarcastic one-liners, the warmth and humbleness you bring when you walk into a room are something your fans will love you for the most. I'm truly enamored by all the movies you entertained us with and I look forward to seeing you as a producer, director, and actor in the much-awaited Runway 34.
With love,
An avid movie-buff
