From flying kites to paying his tribute at the Gandhi memorial to making a big announcement and facing a protest, Jeff Bezos completed his three-day visit to India.
Jeff Bezos, Amazon's CEO was in India for a three-day visit and he took the most of all the experience India had to offer him. He was in India to review Amazon India's operations and to meet some industrialists, decided to pay homage to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat in Delhi. He wore kurta and bandhgala jacket on his first day in India.
He also became part of the Makar Sankranti celebrations, as he joined children in flying kites. He shared the video on his Instagram account of him flying a kite as the kids instructed him. Jeff also recalled his childhood memory when he used to fly kites.

He later made a big announcement at the company's event in Delhi. Calling India's democracy the reason behind the country's energy, dynamism and growth, Jeff said that the 21st century is going to be Indian century. Announcing an investment of 1 bn US dollars, he said that the online retail giant expects to export $10bn worth of India-made goods by 2025.
However, the Amazon CEO witnessed huge protests from thousands of small traders across 300 cities. The protestors claimed that the sharply discounted products are affecting their businesses and on the local retail market. The company which dominates the Indian e-commerce sector had also faced a major setback last year after the introduction of a new law by the government that restricts the foreign-owned companies to sell goods from their own subsidiaries.
