AAP councillor Tahir Hussain charged for the Ankit Sharma case and is suspended by the party from his primary membership until proven not guilty.
Aam Admi Party's (AAP) Nehru Vihar councillor, Tahir Hussain has been charged with murder by the Delhi Police in the Ankit Sharma case following which the party has suspended him from the party's primary membership until his name is cleared or the allegations. Ankit Sharma was stabbed to death on his way home by a mob and his body was recovered in a drain near his home on Tuesday. Hussain came under the radar after a video surfaced on the internet that showed a terrace of a building stocked with stones and petrol bombs. The building belongs to Hussain and people were seen throwing stones and bombs from the terrace during the riots. Hussain, however, said that he was the target and not the accused here. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had made a statement earlier stating that strict actions will be taken against any suspect causing the violence.
