India celebrates 72nd Army Day on January 15th and remembers all the Bravehearts of our Indian army.
A day that celebrates and recognizes the bravery and sacrifice of our fierce soldiers who go beyond the ordinary to protect the country, Army Day, salutes our Indian Army. Every year on January 15th, we celebrate Army Day as a mark of triumph after Field Marshal Kodandera M. Cariappa (then a Lieutenant General) took over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army after General Sir Francis Butcher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India. The capital, as well as all the headquarters, see parades and other military shows as part of the celebration. As a sign of respect, people took to Twitter to show their respect towards the force.
