Microsoft celebrated the 25th anniversary of Windows 95 with a short video. Twitter became nostalgic and shared their memories.
In this age and era we have laptops that are compatible with phones that are basically a smaller version of computers. But we haven't forgotten how it all began for us and we definitely cannot help but get nostalgic over a simple start menu. On Monday, Microsoft celebrated the 25th anniversary of Windows 95 with a short video. The 38-second clip is about how far the operating system has come since its launch on Aug. 24, 1995.

The original, grey Start menu button with the Microsoft flag transition to the four panels takes us back in time. The video takes you through the evolution of iconic Microsoft features. GenZ may not get the time and fun we had while playing Solitaire on the TV shaped PC, created masterpieces on Paint and waiting for hours for the files to transfer with an animation of it actually happening. People took to Twitter to remember all the amazing time we had with Windows 95.

Windows 95 turns 25 years old today! Were you one of the first people to pick up a copy on August 24, 1995? Dwight Schrute was first in line at his local computer store, and he still has the receipt to prove it! #Windows95 #Toyphotography pic.twitter.com/uPybORKLAq
