The year 2000 seems like ages ago. The 90s kids who were in primary school back then are in their late 20s doing the whole 'adulting' thing. But along with us, even Bollywood grew up! The 2010s have seen incredible performances by actors, directors, producers and everyone in the film fraternity, but there's something that doesn't beat the performances in Bollywood movies back in the 2000s.

1. Hera Pheri
Everyone's favourite comedy movie was released back in 2000. The movie had us in splits with Baburao's antics and Raju and Shyam's deliveries! Who knew the movie would have sequels and still be loved by all in 2020?
2. Kaho Na Pyaar Hai
Another great release of 2000, it was Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel's first movie! With this movie, Hrithik became a total heartthrob of the nation, as he still is till today!
3. Mohabbatein
The decade's most famous love tale came alive in the form of Mohabbatein! This movie had the iconic Amitabh Bachchan, SRK and Ash with a few new-comers in Bollywood. Overall, the movie still gives us vibes of nostalgic romance.
4. Josh
Another SRK and Aish flick, but totally different from our previous contender. Set in Old Goa, SRK and Ash play twin siblings in the movie along with Chandrachur Singh and Sharad Kapoor. This movie is based on rival street gangs in Goa and how love finds its way in between them!
5. Dhadkan
This movie turned out to be one of the highest-grossing movies of that year! It narrates a story of a man who has to leave her boyfriend to marry a kind man that was chosen for her by her father. After 3 years, the boyfriend returns as a millionaire business tycoon to win over his girlfriend, but he finds out that she's fallen in love with her husband.
6. Mission Kashmir:
Mission Kashmir follows the life of Altaaf Khan played by Hrithik Roshan. After losing his family in an open-fire, he is adopted by the police chief who, as it turns out is responsible for the deaths. Altaaf finds out this fact after years and sets off to avenge the deaths of his family by joining a terrorist group. The film was screened at the Stockholm International Film Festival and went on to become a critical and commercial success. The movie became the 3rd highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2000 with a total lifetime collection of ₹78.2 crores.
7. Pukar
Pukar released on 4th Feb 2000 and was received quite well by the critics as well as audiences. The actors and film earned several notable nominations and awards too. And of course, it gave us one of our favourite dance numbers till date - Kay Sera Sera!
